2016 - A luncheon was held with a special program in the second floor auditorium
of City Hall for 13 city employees receiving their service awards for years of service ranging from five years to 40 years. Each of the employees also received a gift card of their choice. The dollar amount of the gift card ranged from $25.00 for five years of service to $200 for 40 years of the service. Family members, special guests, and members of the city council also attended.
Those honored from
the Chillicothe Fire Department were Frank Schnieders, 35 years and $175 gift card; Lyle Lowe, Michael Vaught and Bill Gutshall, each 10 years and each $50.
Also pictured is Ike Holland, City Administrator, and Darrell Wright, Fire Chief, who presented the Fire Department awards.
On Friday evening, December 2, the city of Chillicothe held its annual
holiday party and dinner at the Celebrations Event Hall at Fast Lanes Bowling Center. There were a record 190 employees and family members present for the event that included the meal, bowling and games for the children, and a number of special gifts ranging from tablets to a 54-inch flat screen television. The welcome was by Administrator Holland, and the prayer was given by Bill Gutshall, a recently named Chaplin for the Department of Emergency Services.
